Joe may be my favorite newspaper reporter…ever! He has a way of cutting to the heart of an issue, like a surgeon, in his commitment to the truth. Yet, he is gentle with those he opposes, (more likely those who oppose him), and has called us to be our better selves. All this while maintaining a commitment to being a regular, stand-up guy. In an age that mocks common sense, mom and dad, law and order, it’s a true pleasure to read anything Joe writes!
