Editor James Goodhue published the first issue of The Minnesota Pioneer on April 28, 1849.
The first issue of The Minnesota Register was printed April 7, 1849, but in Cincinnati, Ohio; the second issue was printed in Minnesota on July 14, 1849.*

Lord, thanks for James Goodhue and his paper. May You bless all newspapers of Minnesota in perpetuity, and give them a balance of grace and truth!
